Sharon Ellzey has been owner of Perryton Radio Inc. since 1967. Through the years she has been involved in every aspect of broadcasting. She holds a Doctorate Degree in Broadcasting from “The School of Hard Knocks”. In addition to responsibilities at KEYE AM & FM, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Beehive Day Care Center, has a Little Sister through the BBBS organization, is member of Leadership Perryton 5 and Healing Hearts of OGH Hospice. Previously, she worked with many local community groups - United Way, Panhandle Crisis Center, Perryton Musical Arts Enrichment Foundation, Perryton Activity Center, American Cancer Society, and received numerous awards for her efforts including, Citizen of the Year, Kiwanis Work Horse of the Year, Business and Professional Women’s Club Woman of the Year. Ms. Ellzey was the first woman to serve as Perryton Chamber of Commerce President. She is married to John C., has four children – Chris, Kevin (Jake), Courtney and David and three grandchildren – Blade, Lillian and Sarah.
