Darin began his radio career at age 16 at KGRO in Pampa. While working on his Bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV/Communication at WTSU, he served as the Station Manager for the campus radio station and worked at several radio and television stations in Amarillo before coming to Perryton and KEYE in 1993. Darin left broadcasting for several years, but it was still in his blood. In the fall of 2005, he began covering Perryton Ranger football on KEYE and in April of 2006 he returned full-time to KEYE and became General Manager in March of 2007. He now hosts "The More Music Morning Show" weekday mornings on 96-1 MY FM. He is a member of the Perryton Rotary Club, serves on the Crime Stoppers and United Way Boards, is a past president of United Way and serves on the District Committee for the Lone Wolf District of the Boy Scouts of America. Darin and Tena, his wife of 23 years, have two children. Weston is a junior at WTAMU and Lindsay is a senior at Perryton High School. Tena is beginning her 15th year at Wright Elementary. Besides radio, Darin’s other interests are camping and watching lots and lots of basketball games. Contact Darin at: KEYE:(806)435-5458 or Email: darin@keye.net. |
