Darin began his radio career at age 16 at KGRO in Pampa. While working on his Bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV/Communication at WTSU (Now WTAMU), he served as the Station Manager for the campus radio station and worked at several radio and television stations in Amarillo before coming to Perryton and KEYE in 1993.
Darin left broadcasting for several years, but it was still in his blood. In the fall of 2005, he returned to covering Perryton Ranger football on KEYE and in April of 2006 he returned full-time to KEYE and became General Manager in March of 2007. He now hosts "The More Music Morning Show" weekday mornings on 96-1 MY FM.
He is a member of the Perryton Rotary Club, and serves on the United Way Board of Directors, and is a past president of United Way.
Darin and Tena, his wife of 24 years, have two children. Weston is a senior at WTAMU and Lindsay is a Freshman at WT. Tena is the music teacher at Wright Elementary
Besides radio, Darin’s other interests are camping and watching lots of sports.
